Ramos Key Lime
Introduction:
Accidentally made this while attempting a lavender gin sour. A little more lime, some heavy cream and a bit of graham cracker later and heaven was created. It’s now one of my absolute favorite dessert cocktails. Nothing comes close if you enjoy key lime pie.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. dry gin
- ¾ oz. lavender simple
- ¾ oz. lime juice
- ½ oz. egg white
- ½ oz. heavy cream
Garnish
- graham cracker
Preparation:
Dry shake (no ice) all ingredients briefly for 6-7 seconds. Add two ice cubes and vigorously shake until cubes are completely gone. Pour into coup and grind some graham on top.
Notes:
I enjoyed this better with lavender simple (dried lavender simmered in 1:1 water sugar) than regular simple syrup. Both yield good results however.
Also try vodka if gin isn’t your thing.
