Matcha Cooler

Introduction:

I originally wanted a light refreshing drink with matcha, and created something that was fairly addictive for both my wife and I. Tastes light on the booze, has a bit of matcha with a kick of caffeine. Really looking forward to sipping on this all summer.

Ingredients:

  • 2+ oz. gin (I used Leopolds)
  • 2 oz. chilled matcha green tea
  • 1 oz. lemon
  • ~ ½ oz. agave
  • ⅛ tsp. matcha powder

Preparation:

Green tea: seeped a matcha green tea bag in 6 oz of hot water, then cooled it in freezer.

Once cooled, lightly shake all ingredients. Pour into rock filled highball glass.

Notes:

I personally enjoy a bit more gin as with 2 ounces it seems light.

Lime is a good substitute for the lemon.
