Brandy Alexander

Introduction:

There are a few variations of the Brandy Alexander: made with brandy, cognac or gin. However the ancillary ingredients remain the same with crème de cacao and heavy cream. And even though this is delicious with cream, I personally love replacing it with eggnog. Don’t have the same appreciation for the nog? Or you’re not making it within the only month a year it’s actually available? Feel free to go back to it’s heavy cream roots. Either way, it’s a fantastic after dinner dessert cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. brandy
  • 1 oz. crème de cacao
  • 1 oz. eggnog
Garnish
  • nutmeg

Preparation:

Shake all three ingredients with ice. Pour into coup and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Notes:

Like it more boozy? Just add more brandy.

Also good with cinnamon if nutmeg isn’t around.
